Catering Academy provide catering for Frederick Bird Academy. Catering Academy deliver a wide range of fresh food through their catering teams, providing personalised menus and food solutions.

Their passionate and innovative approach to food allows them to deliver fresh and exciting dishes that are prepared and served to meet the highest quality expectations. Catering Academy utilise local suppliers alongside their national supplier base, creating a national network of local supply that is particularly important for fresh produce. They work only with top quality Grade One suppliers including farm assured, organic and Fairtrade suppliers where applicable. Their menus also feature regular Halal options.

As well as hot lunch options, Catering Academy provide a packed lunch option for children who would like it. Please contact the school office if you would like to arrange this for your child.

Please ensure that the school is kept informed of any updates to your child’s dietary requirements or allergies so that these can be catered for in school.

Catering Details

School meals at Frederick Bird Academy are provided by our own in-house Catering Team and meet the Government’s Nutritional Standards.

The cost of school meals is £10.00 per week (equivalent to £2.00 per day).  School meals must be ordered and paid for in advance, via Arbor. 

Children in Reception – Year 2 are able to receive a free school meal. Please ask at the office for details. Children in Years 3-6 will need to pay for their school dinner.

Free school meals may be available to those on certain benefits and who meet certain criteria. Click here to view eligibility requirements for free school meals.

If you chooses to change your child’s school meal pattern you must inform the office of this change a week in advance so registers can be updated and no additional costs are incurred for lunches ordered when they are not required.
